"New Hampshire knows Mitt Romney very, very well, and not just because he won the presidential primary here," he said. "We know him as the upright and capable man who we wish were president right now."

But Romney's return to the state where he began and ended his last presidential campaign loomed over the event.
Romney endorses Brown for Senate
Brown's advisers see Romney as a unifying force for New Hampshire Republicans still divided about Brown's candidacy. The former Massachusetts senator formally moved to the state several months ago. And his moderate positions on social issues and gun laws irk some conservatives.
Buckley referred to comments Romney made in the last campaign that Obama had the support of the 47 percent of Americans who don't pay income taxes and who consider themselves "victims" and don't "take personal responsibility and care for their lives." Romney was mobbed by supporters some wore T shirts from his last campaign after his brief remarks. Several people encouraged him to launch another presidential campaign. Brown noted Romney's special relationship with New Hampshire, where the former Massachusetts governor has a summer home.
HE SAYS IT'S LARGELY ABOUT THE MAN WHO IS. YOU HAVE A CHOICE. DO YOU WANT MORE MANDATES, MORE OBAMACARE, HIGHER COST OF HECHE AND LESS CHOICE IN YOUR DOCTORS OR DO YOU WANT TO HAVE AN INVOICE AND SCOTT BROWN IS YOUR NEXT SENATOR. FROM THAT SUPPORT, MUTUAL ADMIRATION. NEW HAMPSHIRE KNOWS MITT ROMNEY VERY, VERY WELL. IT'S NOT JUST BECAUSE HE WON THE PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY HERE. FIRST IT PREVENTS HIS OPPONENTS FROM GETTING ANY NEWS Prada Runners Black And Red COVERAGE, AND SECOND GETS HIM A LOT OF POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS FOR HIS CAMPAIGN, FOR THOSE WHO COME TO THE EVENT. THE CROWD WAS A LARGE ONE AND IN THE EBB THEY HEARD A FAMILIAR REFRAIN THAT MIGHT BE FROM THE PLAY BOOK OF THE PRESIDENT. I SAY LET THE CHANGE BEGIN RIGHT HERE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE. IT'S UNCLEAR HOW INVOLVED MITT ROMNEY WILL BE BEYOND THIS EVENT IN THE SENATE RACE, BUT AT ONE POINT SOMEONE YELLED FROM THE CROWD, HEY MIT, RUN FOR PRESIDENT AGAIN IN 2016, TO WHICH HE REPLIED, QUOTE, WE'LL FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN WIN.
